Just Like Heaven

By Julia Quinn

Dates Read

Favorite Character:

Lady Danbury

Of course she was in this one and as always she has an abundance of wit and sarcasm.

Favorite quote:

If anyone were to see her as a wet, bedraggled creature of the rodential variety it would be he.

Blurb:

Honoria Smythe-Smith is:

A) a really bad violinist

B) still miffed at being nicknamed "Bug" as a child

C) not in love with her older brother's best friend

D) all of the above

Marcus Holroyd is:

A) the Earl of Chatteris

B) regrettably prone to sprained ankles

C) not in love with his best friend's younger sister

D) all of the above

Together they:

A) eat quite a bit of chocolate cake

B) survive a deadly fever and the world's worst musical performance

C) fall quite desperately in love

It's Julia Quinn at her best, so you know the answer is . . .

D) all of the above

Thoughts:

It was a cute story. My favorite part was when Honoria tried to fake a sprained ankle and Marcus ended up being the one injured. And the entire nurse patient story played out well. I loved the reappearance of Lady Danbury and Honoria got to dance with Colin Bridgerton. (This takes place in 1824 and he gets married in 1824, and he has an injured arm.) I love how we see previous characters but are being told a completely different story.
